It’s legendary on Bald Head Island to celebrate the 4th of July with a golf cart parade. This year, Ed Brantley and Heba Salama, weight-loss winners from NBC's The Biggest Losernetwork series will be leading the parade. Ed & Heba’s visit to the island is hosted by The Bald Head Island Center for Wellness and the Island Retreat Spa and Salon. Ed and Heba will be answering questions, taking photos and signing autographs during the Red, White and Blue Cookout, providing kids food demonstration and practicing the art of relaxation for health at the island’s spa.
Ed and Heba shot to fame as weight loss winners on TV's The Biggest Loser by losing a combined total of 277 pounds. The couple continues to spread the message of health and well-being by writing a cookbook of healthy recipes, working with non-profit organizations to prevent childhood obesity and promote fitness, as well as appearing regularly as guest speakers.
